Movin' on Up.....

....from a bassinet to a crib! Last night was Henry's first night in his big crib. He loved it, but his parents were a little sad to see him go!

He says to stop by his "crib" anytime, just B.Y.O.B...of milk that is!

Getting Big!

Henry went to the doctor yesterday for his one month check up.....He now weighs 10 lbs, 10 ounces and is 23 inches! Apparantly he is getting enough to eat:)

While we were up north, we went over to my grandparents on my Dad's side on Burt Lake. I was so excited to introduce them to Henry!

My Grandma and Papa are remarkable people...they have been married for over 66 years, have 17 children, 132 grand-children, and 28 great grand-children!!!!!!!!! Our family is growing exponentially, with many of the grandchildren now married and having babies...I don't know how we will keep track of everyone! But my grandparents have no problem, and whenever you go to visit, they make you feel like you are the only grandchild.

It was wonderful to see them, and I am so glad that I have this photograph to remember the moment!

I know this one may seem a little odd, but this is where my sister Kate and I always played when we were at the cottage....I'm not sure why, but these shelves brought us hours of enjoyment! Since I was the older sister, I always took the roomy top shelf, and made her smash into the small middle one:)

What a fun weekend!!!!!!

Today's Adventures....

Today we went out to lunch with my friend Liz from college. This was the first time that Henry and I have ventured out together all by ourselves. For this special occasion, I dressed Henry in his first pair of jeans (thanks again Jodi and Trey:)). Good thing I took some pictures of him, because just as we were leaving to meet Liz, I noticed that Henry had completely pee'd through his diaper! I don't know how he manages to do this....It must be a boy thing!

After our lunch date (It was so great to see you Liz!), we did a little shopping at Snapdragon. Michelle told me about this children's boutique, and it is fabulous! This is where she bought Henry his "Trumpette" socks that you see in the picture.....aren't they adorable? He has them in every color, thanks to Michelle and Holly!!!

We also went to Babies R Us to buy MORE diapers....I am going to talk to Mike tonight about buying stock in Pampers. Oh, and we went to CG's Prep Kitchen, which for anyone who lives in Grand Rapids, you should check it out. I bought a few brownies and inhaled them on my drive home- I heard you have a year to lose the baby weight, so I am going to make the most of it!

TWINS!!

These pictures crack me up! This is my brother TJ (or Uncle TJ now!). He came over last night wearing a John Deere hat he won in a golf outing......Henry happens to have the EXACT same hat he got from a family friend of ours, Connie! What a coincidence......

We miss Kate.....

I was so excited to have my sister here for a whole week. We had a great time.....she was always snuggling with Henry (giving me time to sleep or shower), taking silly pictures of him, video taping all of his funny faces, and taking him on walks (when it wasn't raining!!). We even left the house for a few hours to shop, and she got a pair of Armani sunglasses for a STEAL!

Thanks for taking so much time off work to hang out with us!! We really miss you, come back soon!

Four Weeks Old Today!!!!

I can't believe it....time is flying! He has changed so much already. He is starting to make sounds, can follow objects with his eyes, and loves to play with his Baby Einstein gym. We are so proud of him:)

Show and Tell

Kate and I brought Henry into Steelcase to meet my co-workers on Wednesday....everything was going well until I put him in the chair draped with fur. As you can see from the photos, he has no appreciation for fine Danish furniture! I have a lot to teach him.....

Today we took Henry to get his newborn photos taken, so Kate and I gave him a bath before the big event. He loves the bath!

Aunt Kate is Here!

My sister Kate is finally here, and we are so happy! Here is a video clip of meeting Henry for the first time. She will be in town for a whole week!

She came all the way from Hermosa Beach, CA....and brought Henry his first surfer outft! Right now they are snuggling on the couch together, looking very content. More to come from our week with Aunt Kate!

In other news...

OK, I realize this has nothing to do with Henry, BUT......We are getting 2 SUPER SHOE MARSHALLS in Grand Rapids!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am sooooooo excited. I can't believe Mike was the one who alerted me to this...what was he thinking?!?! I can't wait until Henry gets a bit older so I can take him along during the day to shop.
